Bash¶
These real terminal captures use a historical development build. They are not current release certification; independent output review and current installed-wheel scenario checks remain pending.
Overview¶
This worked example compares code.sh. Advertised filename extensions: .sh.
What changes¶
Enable errexit, nounset and pipefail; default missing or empty first argument to World; introduce greet with local name and invoke it; append ! to greeting.
Before¶
#!/bin/bash
NAME=$1
echo "Hello, $NAME"
After¶
#!/bin/bash
set -euo pipefail
NAME=${1:-World}
greet() {
local name=$1
echo "Hello, ${name}!"
}
greet "$NAME"
Things to know¶
- Strict-mode behavior and defaulting change semantics; function extraction is only part of the edit.
Recorded output¶
Recorded from a real native CLI through rs-rich-record. A refactoring label does not prove equivalent behavior. Build identities.

Try it¶
Save the two source blocks as separate files with the shown extension, then compare them:
intentumdiff file before/code.sh after/code.sh
The installed Python wheel includes its parser components. The native CLI requires a component directory. Compare the result with the source change described above; agreement between APIs alone is not proof of correctness.
