Swift¶
These real terminal captures use a historical development build. They are not current release certification; independent output review and current installed-wheel scenario checks remain pending.
Overview¶
This worked example compares code.swift. Advertised filename extensions: .swift.
What changes¶
Rewrite greeting with interpolation and append exclamation mark; remove external argument labels from add via underscores; add unlabeled multiply.
Before¶
import Foundation
func greet(name: String) {
print("Hello, " + name)
}
func add(a: Int, b: Int) -> Int {
return a + b
}
After¶
import Foundation
func greet(name: String) {
print("Hello, \(name)!")
}
func add(_ a: Int, _ b: Int) -> Int {
return a + b
}
func multiply(_ a: Int, _ b: Int) -> Int {
return a * b
}
Things to know¶
- Call syntax changes from add(a
) to add(_:_:); this is an API change, not just a local rename.
Recorded output¶
Recorded from a real native CLI through rs-rich-record. A refactoring label does not prove equivalent behavior. Build identities.

Try it¶
Save the two source blocks as separate files with the shown extension, then compare them:
intentumdiff file before/code.swift after/code.swift
The installed Python wheel includes its parser components. The native CLI requires a component directory. Compare the result with the source change described above; agreement between APIs alone is not proof of correctness.
